Smoked Salmon Dip Recipe

This salmon dip made with Alaskan smoked/kippered salmon is delicious and a special treat when it is set out to enjoy. We love this on a toasted bagel for a nice lunch.

Ingredients
  

  • 8 oz smoked salmon
  • 3 oz cream cheese
  • 1 tbsp jalapenos
  • 1 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1/3 cup sour cream
  • 1 tbsp red onion chopped
  • 1 tsp dijon mustard optional
  • 1 dash hot sauce optional

Instructions
 

  • Open & drain a can of salmon and dump into a small bowl. Mash up the salmon with a fork.
  • Chop the jalapeno and red onion into small chunks and add to the salmon.
  • Add the cream cheese, mayonnaise, and some of the sour cream. Mix until a nice consistency. Be sure it isn't too dry. Add more sour cream to your liking.
  • Optional: Add the dijon mustard and a dash or two of hot sauce. Serve immediately or cover and chill until later.
  • Serve with crackers, cucumber slice, or mini peppers. It also can be spread on a toasted bagel. Enjoy!

Notes

Refrigerate any leftovers up to 3 days.
